Why I created the Macro Symptom Tracker
My own experiences with helping my children through difficult health and dietary challenges inspired me to make this app to help my clients and the general public. I hope this app can be a blessing for you and your family.

- Individuals who care about privacy and want a simple, no frills tracker that does the job without spying on you or exposing you to irritating ads.
Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to the Macro Symptom Tracker mobile application (hereby referred to as the "the Application") developed by RuizAbility LLC (hereby referred to as "the Developer").
The Application is a 100% offline, local-first app - we do not operate any servers, and we do not collect, transmit, or store your data on our end. Your data is stored locally on your device. If you have enabled a system backup service (such as iCloud or Google One/Drive), your app data may be included in those encrypted backups - managed entirely by Apple or Google, not by us.
What Data Does the Application Access?
The Application stores the following data locally on your device only:
- User-inputted macro, symptom, meal, wellness, medicine, and supplement history
- Dates and timestamps
- App preferences and settings
This data is used solely to provide core app functionality and is never transmitted to RuizAbility LLC, third parties, or any external party.
How Is Your Health Data Used?
The Application does not connect to or query any health platform APIs (such as Apple Health, Google Fit, or any wearable device services). We do not access sensor data such as step counts, heart rate, sleep data, or any other device or platform-provided health metrics.
The only health-related data that exists within the Application is what you manually enter yourself - such as symptoms, wellness ratings, meal history, medicines and supplements taken. This data is used only for the following purposes:
- Displaying your history and tracking trends within the app
- Calculating local metrics and summaries shown to you in the app
- Saving your data between sessions
We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, profiling, or any secondary purpose. We have no access to your data whatsoever.
Data Storage and Retention
Local Storage: All data entered into the Application is stored exclusively in your device's local storage. It remains on your device until you choose to delete it or uninstall the Application.
Data Retention Period: Your data is retained locally for as long as the Application is installed on your device and you choose to keep it. Uninstalling the Application will remove all locally stored app data from your device.
System Backups
If you have enabled a system backup service on your device, your local app data may be included in those encrypted system backups. This varies by platform:
- iOS (iCloud Backup): If you have enabled iCloud Backup, your app data may be included in your encrypted iCloud backup, managed entirely by Apple. You can manage or disable this at any time via iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → iCloud Backup.
- Android (Google One / Google Drive Backup): If you have enabled Android system backups, your app data may be included in your encrypted backup, managed entirely by Google. You can manage or disable this at any time via Android Settings → Google → Backup.
RuizAbility LLC has no access to these backups and cannot view, retrieve, or modify any data contained within them, regardless of platform.
Does the Application Collect Location Data?
No. The Application does not access, collect, or store your device's location at any time, precise or otherwise.
Is Your Data Shared With Third Parties?
No. Since the Application does not transmit any data off your device, no data is ever shared with third parties - including advertisers, analytics providers, or data brokers.
Your Rights and Opt-Out Options
Since all data lives entirely on your device, you are always in full control:
- Uninstall the Application to remove all locally stored data from your device
- Manage system backups through your iOS or Android device settings
Because we have no access to your data, we are unable to retrieve or delete it on your behalf - nor would we ever need to.
Children's Privacy
The Application does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information from any user, regardless of age. As the Application operates entirely offline and locally on your device, it is compliant with children's privacy regulations by design, including:
- COPPA (US) - Children's Online Privacy Protection Act
- GDPR Article 8 (EU) - age of consent varies by member state (13-16)
- UK COPPA / Age Appropriate Design Code (UK)
- Privacy Act 1988 (Australia)
- PIPEDA (Canada)
Please note that your device's operating system may back up locally stored app data to services such as iCloud or Google Drive. This is controlled entirely by your device settings and is outside the scope of this Application.
Security
Because all data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to us, there is no server-side risk from RuizAbility LLC servers of a data breach involving your information. The security of your data is governed by your device's and any of your backups' own security features (e.g., device passcode, fingerprint, Face ID, encrypted storage).
Medical Disclaimer
Macro Symptom Tracker is not a medical device. The Application is intended for general personal wellness and symptom logging purposes only. It is not designed to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever make meaningful changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date below and, where appropriate, notify users within the Application. We have no current plans to begin collecting user data.
